Moxy Williamsburg

The design of the hotel’s 5 unique spaces was inspired by the stories that immigrates and modern travelers brought to New York from around the world. With warm plastered walls, wood accents, steel framed design elements, and contrasting pops of colors and patterns — guests should feel a combination of comfort and home mixed with a sense of exploration.

The hotel’s main entry bar features a 20 ft operable liquor display that is fully visible through the open storefront. The custom chandeliers are a large scale feature that is subtle enough to add texture to the surrounding plaster and help transition the space from a daytime work area to a nighttime lounge.

The hotel’s restaurant is inspired by the vibrant culinary scene of Tel Aviv — resulting in a warm and airy space with 18 ft custom wood framed windows and doors, hanging illuminated greenery and the signature Basile Studio bar shelving. Behind the restaurant, guests will discover the nightclub with an unique overhead light feature that creates an immersive and unforgettable sensory experience.

We reimagined the Moxy standard guest rooms with custom wood paneling that acts as storage and work spaces. The Baltic birch finish and black steel is used in all rooms items, to bring a cohesive look and maximize the material yield.
