LEAD ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER
BASILE Studio is looking for a creative and committed lead designer with a passion for custom details, holistic design and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Success in this position is dependent on not only being creative but, having strong communication skills, excellent follow-through, being detail-oriented, and most importantly having the desire of joining a team that is fast-moving, adaptive to change, comfortable with implementing processes, and likes to get things done.
We are seeking team members that will bring their UNIQUE skill set. That is highly versatile, capable of switching gears, and producing high quality custom design in a short amount of time.
Each designer is required to lead a project from beginning to end through all phases of design into final install of our custom items.
You will be responsible for design/documentation production and project management duties. Included but not limited to:
Project/document set up.
Concept packages and renderings.
3D Modeling, detailing, construction documents.
Cost estimates and scheduling.
Coordination with client, AOR, GC, MEP etc.
Organizing presentations to both clients and consultants
As a lead, you will be the main conduit and producer on a project externally and internally.
Proactively stepping in to support your teammates.
Clear communication and ability to prioritize are crucial to keep the team going.
We all must operate with a sense of urgency while still delivery a high-quality product.
We are all required to wear multiple hats, not just for the design team but for the company as whole and contribute to our overall culture.
Ability to negotiate with contractors and subcontractors
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
5+ years of experience in an architectural or interior design firm
Licensure not required but preferred depending on position and project
Proficiency in Revit and Sketchup required
Proficiency in CAD, Adobe Suite, Enscape, and Revu preferred
Experience with custom details, material specification, and fabrication preferred
Effective and clear communications, both verbal and written
Seek out opportunities to go above and beyond expectations with your design
Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
Fast learner, self-starter, and ability to complete tasks with minimal direction
You are collaborative and enjoy working as part of a small team
Animal lovers preferred.

This is a full-time position
This position will be based out of our office located in Downtown San Diego
Salary Range $80k - 90k
Possible relocation for specific projects. Will vary by role and experience.
