WOOD and or METAL FABRICATOR
Our team is looking for Wood and Metal Fabricators who prepares, fabricates, and welds various wood and metal constructions and structures. This position work from patterns and blueprints while using a variety of tools and machines to create and assemble components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop high skill level in their craft and maintain the integrity of the design
Ensure all projects are built off verified field dimensions.
Create solutions that could help a project item be improve efficiency and eliminate waste.
Work with designers, engineers, and fabrication manager to understand and problem solve new projects
Work safely, accurately, and quickly using material and resources efficiently
Project layout and check that parts and components are accurate
Coordinate measurements and succession list with other shop departments to ensure project completion within a item deadline.
Keeping your workstation and shop area clean daily
Assembling components and proper packaging for safe delivery
Loading and delivering materials and finished product when needed
Installation and travel on site (local and non-local)
Skills
Proficiency in woodworking including knowledge of machinery and hand tools, use of jigs and templates
Proficiency in metalworking including fabricating, constructing, and grinding to complete a quality product
Understanding of adhesives, fasteners, hardware, and a good understanding of materials and their properties.
Qualification Requirements
Valid driver’s license required
3 plus years of proven professional working experience in a woodworking or welding position
Be able to read and understand blueprints and shop detail drawings
Maintain a clean, safe, and well organized workspace
Work cooperatively and well with other builders on single and group components
Moderate walking, standing, and/or climbing; heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching
