North Park Beer Co.

About This Project

Originally a department store, the space now housing North Park Beer Co. is re-imagined as a community gathering place and craft beer mecca. The 8,600 square-foot space blends two unique styles, taking cues from the neighborhood’s Arts and Crafts architectural aesthetic while incorporating elements from the 1946 Mid-Century original shell.

The exterior, with its pierced copper fascia, is lit with a modern interpretation of marquee lighting. Custom copper-clad doors featuring an inset door plaque that reads “Ales & Lagers, Friends & Neighbors” is the first of several quotes that dot the interior and welcome patrons. Inside, the entryway growler cage leads to custom street lamps outlining the 43-foot stained white oak back bar, complete with hammered copper detailing and etched backlit mirrors. This design-style merger continues throughout to include the exposed brewing vats to help redefine the brewhouse experience.
