Le Parfait Paris

Developing a robust following as a wholesaler of authentic French pastries prepared in his BASILE designed commercial kitchen, our client reached out with an objective of opening a San Diego storefront location with a contemporary interior, while reminiscent of traditional patisseries in his hometown of Paris. In envisioning the French modern bakery and coffee bar, BASILE incorporated clean lines, a black and white color palette and welcoming decor. All-important functionality considerations are addressed in custom designed/built features including back-lit glass and metal displays inspired by a luxury retail jewelry case. With streamlined, smooth-gliding drawers and a built-in refrigeration system, they keep pastries and savories fresh at an optimum 42-degree temperature. A custom tap system at the gloss black and stainless coffee bar furthers the contemporary aesthetic, along with clean concrete flooring, walnut paneling and geometric walnut shelving in a retail space at the far end of the room where glassware, home goods and other brand-complementing finds are displayed. On the street side, faux foliage-dressed siding and custom bench seating entice guests onto a whimsical outdoor patio inspired by Parisian sidewalk cafes.
