Craft & Commerce 2016
About This Project
When new corner ground floor space became available next to Craft & Commerce, our client decided it was time to expand their Little Italy institution for the second time.
Taking over the new the space meant expansion in many directions, including updating and enlarging the kitchen. The front of house shifted over to take advantage of the newly available space, emphasized with new outdoor seating space and custom bi-fold doors wrapping the exterior.
Inside, an added second bar, custom lighting, museum-quality taxidermy placed within custom display cases, and our client’s book collection complete the transition from the previous space into the new layout. While the new design maintains much of the original’s design aesthetic, the expansion is now lighter, brighter, and more open.
The shift over to the new area freed up enough floor space to create False Idol, our client’s new world-class tiki bar.
